An impressive selection of suits to choose from was a major highlight in both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and (as if that was ever in doubt) that will also be the case in the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Indeed, players will not only have a variety of suits to choose from, they will also be able to choose between different styles for most of those options.
This was confirmed by creative director Bryan Intihar in a recent interview on the official Marvel website, where he revealed that the “majority” of suits in the game will have new customization options with color variations available.
“That applies to the majority of our suits, we now have these color variants, which is new for customization,” Intihar said. “So you actually get a suit unlocked, but then you also get the variants that we offer. So it’s definitely to make sure that with things like Photo Mode and so on. People are really unique when they post things online.”
It remains to be seen exactly what Intihar means when he says the “majority” of suits will have variants – will Peter’s Symbiote suit be one of them, for example?
Speaking of suits, it has also been confirmed that the 10 unique suits included with the Collector’s and Deluxe Editions of the game will indeed be behind a paywall, as many people feared, meaning Standard Edition owners won’t be able to unlock them in the game itself.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will launch for PS5 on October 20.
