Storm, whose real name is Ororo Munroe, is often named as one of the most powerful mutants on Earth. She was orphaned at a young age and taken in by a village priest while traveling to her mother’s home in Kenya. When her village was struggling during a drought, Ororo called for rain to help. Although her mutated ability to manipulate the weather had negative consequences in other parts of the region, villagers revered her as a rain goddess.

Years later, when it became known that she could control the weather, Charles recruited Xavier Ororo to join the X-Men and took the name Storm. She led the X-Men and used her powers to help people around the world. During her search for an endangered mutant child in New York with Wolverine, Storm meets Magik, who encourages her to join the Midnight Suns in Blood Storm.
