Let’s Cook Together 2 is the sequel to the crazy cooperative game in which players work together to become culinary masters as they take on gastronomic challenges inspired by cuisines from around the world. The developers at Polish studio Yellow Dot don’t want to leave us in suspense any longer – they have announced that the game will launch on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch on Feb. 6, 2025. For those curious, a demo is already available now, spiced with a touch of saffron!
They say, “Too many cooks spoil the mash,” but four isn’t too many, is it? These kitchen champions will handle any task with ease. Let’s Cook Together 2 is all about collaboration and allows up to four players to work together in co-op. But nothing prevents you from taking on the challenge solo and discovering the story behind the game, a story about food, love and the price of freedom. For those who really want to experiment, there are community-created levels – the game includes a carefully designed level editor that allows players to let their culinary imaginations run wild.
The story of Let’s Cook Together 2 outlines a bleak future in which the world is ruled by the mega-corporation Nutri-Inc, which imposes a law forcing citizens to eat only Nutri-Paste – a tasteless, boring paste made from edible ingredients such as tree bark, weeds and stems. Growing or preparing their own food is prohibited, and all knowledge of cooking techniques is lost. A tasteless existence has left people confused, apathetic and ambition-less. To save people’s appetites and lives, a resistance movement emerges under the leadership of General Ohm – a group of survivors who are “taste conscious.” Their desperate struggle against the system changes when they build a device that reteaches them recipes from the old world.
On their journey to culinary freedom, players travel through four countries, completing 250 levels and learning 65 recipes. These include a wide range of dishes: from Italian classics such as pizza, bruschetta and lasagna, to Japanese specialties such as sushi, gyoza and udon, and finally Polish masterpieces (close to the developers’ hearts) such as bigos and pierogi.
Let’s Cook Together 2 will launch on February 6, 2025 on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch. Add the game to your wish list now and try the demo if you want to discover if you can handle the challenges of a crazy kitchen!
