One of the most special League of Legends competitions is back: the Iberian Cup. Iberian Cup. The tournament organized by LVP (GRUP MEDIAPRO) returns with the best teams of Spain y Portugal competing for the title, special rules in the selection of champions and a grand finale on-site at ubeat LIVE Barcelona the November 12.
The competition gets underway on the next day September 28th with an open qualifier through ArenaGG. The best amateur teams from that qualifier will go on to be part of the 32 teams from the peninsula that will fight for the title.. The rest of the teams from Spain and Portugal that will be in the next phase are the following: Superliga and Superliga Segunda El Corte Inglés clubs, Portuguese LPLOL teams (White Dragons, Odivelas Sports Club, FTW Esports, BWE Esports, EGN Esports, Keypulse Esports and Boavista FC) and squads from the amateur circuit in Spain (ECORP, Kawaii Kiwis, Heracles Gaming and Stormbringers).
It will be the October 2 when those 32 teams will start the title dispute in a single elimination bracket, facing each other according to the seeding of the Summer Split (i.e. best team against worst), best of three games. Both semifinals and finals will be best of five maps. The round of 16 will be played between October 2 and 9; round of 16 from October 17 to 25; quarterfinals on October 31 and November 1; semifinals on November 6 and 7, and the grand final on November 12. The on-site final will take place at ubeat LIVE Barcelona, the entertainment festival promoted by GRUP MEDIAPRO, which will be held for the second time this year.
