Huawei prepares FreeBuds Pro 2+ headphones with pulse and temperature monitoring function

Although, the COVID pandemic period has long passed, Huawei still has products like the FreeBuds Pro 2+ on its release calendar, equipped with new health monitoring features.

Appearing as an improved version of the FreeBuds Pro 2 headphones released last year, the new Huawei headphones retain the general design lines, while also delivering capabilities that might appeal to users who spend time performing various sporting activities, or simply want to keep a closer eye on their health.

Developed in collaboration with the specialists of French audio equipment manufacturer Devialet, the FreeBuds Pro 2 headphones have come with major improvements on the hardware side, with audio playback provided by a dual-driver system capable of reproducing virtually the entire range of frequencies audible to the human ear. Thus, the headphones can play bass effects from as low as 14Hz, while the driver tuned for mid-high tones plateaus somewhere around 48000Hz. Battery life can reach 4 hours of continuous listening, or 6.5 hours without Noise Canceling. The carrying case can extend the battery life to 18/30 hours with successive charges. The headphones come with IP54 certification, offering minimal protection against splashing water, but not immersion.

The “refresh” FreeBuds Pro 2+ version retains all these features, while delivering additional temperature and pulse monitoring functions. Prices are also likely to remain close to the 649 lei asking price for the non-Plus model.
