Huawei has announced a new smartwatch in the Watch GT 3 series, the SE variant, which seems to retain most of the advantages of the previous models in terms of performance and software, but has a different construction and design. The company says it focused on creating a lightweight and comfortable watch for urban users interested in sports and fitness activities.
Huawei Watch GT 3 SE is a lighter model with a slightly different design
The Huawei Watch GT 3 SE benefits from a 1.43″ AMOLED display with 466 x 466 pixel resolution, similar to that on previously released Watch GT 3 models. It’s coated with Gorilla Glass and weighs just 35.6 grams. Of course, the weight increases when you add a strap, but the fact that the watch is lightweight ensures extra comfort in daily use.
The watch benefits from water resistance to depths of up to 5ATM (50m for 10 minutes) and integrates a GPS module compatible with all major geographic location systems such as GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS.
The HarmonyOS software in the “Lite” version is still equipped with sports monitoring functions, offering over 100 types of workouts, as well as features such as TreuSeen and TruSleep. All of these use sensors such as an accelerometer, gyroscope, pulse sensor and pulse oximeter to monitor the user’s physical and mental activity and health.
The new watch looks more like a design change than an entirely new model in the Huawei Watch GT 3 series. Those who want to buy the Watch GT 3 SE will be able to do so for 999 lei in Romania, the base price, to which discount offers may apply. The device is already listed both on Huawei’s store and in specialty stores’ offers.
