GIANTX is already shaping its Valorant team for 2025

The esports club GIANTX has announced the renewal of the player Cloud and the trainer Pipson for the 2025 Valorant project. These are two basic pillars of the team that GIANTX has in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT)the world circuit of the ‘shooter’ of the Riot Gamesone of the most important in the international eSports scene. A commitment that goes beyond next season and confirms GIANTX’s commitment to long-term work: both have renewed for two years.

Kirill ‘Cloud‘ Nekhozhin (Russia, 2003) and Daniil ‘pipsoN‘ Meshcheryakov (Russia, 1995) have been part of GIANTX since the announcement of the creation of the VCT back in 2022. Pipson even had an earlier stint first as a player and then as a technical manager, interrupted by his time at G2 Esports. The reputed Russian coach returned, now with Cloud, and both proved vital along with the rest of the roster to signing a historic 2023 in sporting termsincluding presence at the Valorant World Cup. The results have not been maintained in 2024, but the organization has chosen Cloud and Pipson to lead GIANTX in the challenges to come.

So much so, that it has been decided that Cloud to assume the role of IGL (‘in-game leader’) of the team. He already played this role in an outstanding way in the last days of last season in VCT, where he showed a great performance and confidence in his new responsibility. GIANTX is fully confident in his ability to lead the quintet from this role.

Pipson, on the other hand, is one of the most reputable chiefs of the scene and the driving force behind the growth of the giants at Valorant in the two stints he has worked for the club, during which he has participated in a qualifier for the aforementioned World Cup and in victories in an LCQ, Crossfire Cup or Rising Series, among other milestones.

These renewals, which are in addition to the continuity of Purp0who was already under contract, come to reaffirm GIANTX’s commitment to young talent. with the potential to create a promising future at Valorant. They will form the core of a workforce that, during the current 2024, has been integrated along with Fitinho, Hoody, Redgar and Famsiiwho took Redgar’s place in the final stretch of last season.

I am very happy about my renewal. Although this year has not been the best in terms of results, I have full confidence in the team and in the project we are building. I am convinced that with hard work and everyone’s dedication we can make great progress. We are going to achieve our goals. My commitment is maximum and I am very excited about what is to come. We will achieve great things in the coming years.

Statement by Cloud, GIANTX player

I have been deeply involved with GIANTX for a long time, and it is really satisfying to see the efforts being recognized with a new contract. This reaffirms that we are moving in the right direction, and it motivates me even more to keep moving forward. My main goal is that we achieve tangible results, not only for me, but for our fans and the entire organization. I want to contribute to our collective success and for all of us to share in the joy of winning.

Statement by Pipson, coach of GIANTX

Nowadays it is very difficult to find people in esports who want to write their history within your club without listening to other offers. The sense of belonging is very scarce. Pipson joined us in 2021 as a player and we have been part of his transition to coaching until today. We want him to be our coach. We believe in him as he believes in us. Cloud, for his part, is key to our new project. He is young, talented and committed. We appreciate the confidence that both of them have placed in our project by deciding to renew so early, without considering offers from other organizations.
