GAMERGY by Cecotec closes its doors with the attendance of more than 69,000 visitors

GAMERGY by Cecotecwhich has established itself as the main esports, gaming and entertainment event in Spain, closed the doors of its thirteenth edition with an all-time record number of visitors.

The event, organized by GGTech Entertainmentwas attended this past weekend by 69,718 visitorswhich has meant an increase of more than 8.1% over the number of visitors for the 2022 edition.

Hall 10 of IFEMA MADRID became a true gamer’s paradise and welcomed more than 30 spaces: three scenarios, 550 gaming positions y more than 20 stands with the presence of leading brands in the leisure, entertainment and urban mobility sectors, among which were Cecotec, Intel, Samsung, OMEN, Domino’s, Logitech, Red Bull or JBL.

On this occasion, GAMERGY by Cecotec featured a 360º stageThis has improved the visibility of the activities that were carried out in the Main Stage.

One of the most anticipated activities of the entire weekend was. InfoJobs Islandwhere TheGrefgone of the leading Spanish-speaking streamers (+1.7 million followers), led a group of 40 creators for more than 4 hours. Participants competed on six maps of Fortnite designed exclusively for the event.

More than 80 thousand euros in prizes were distributed.

One of the highlights of this edition was the significant volume of prizes that were distributed. Specifically, more than 80.000€ won by the participants in the different tournaments, among which the following should be highlighted 25.000€ shared by the players of the European TEKKEN and the 20.000€ of the final of the VALORANT Spike Nations EMEA.

Other tournaments that visitors could enjoy were, for example, Our Party, a competition that helped to promote the presence of women in video games with the finals of its tournaments in LoL y VALORANT. Likewise, the Storm Circuit also did not miss the event with its amateur competitions and multiple games with prizes at its booth.

Once again this year, music had its space at the GAMERGY with a concert by the rapper PIECES and the performance of Eleskywho covered video game songs on piano. In addition, the cosplayers showed their best clothes in the Cosplay Contest by Newskill.

Infinite adventures with eWorlds

GAMERGY by Cecotec has meant the launch of eWorlds. The new multiplayer 3D platformer game, designed and developed by GGTech StudiosThe booth became a meeting point for visitors, who had fun exploring and competing with their friends through a variety of personalized experiences.

Educational and technological projects

The esports in the educational environment had its space in this last edition of GAMERGY by Cecotec through JUNIOR Esports y UNIVERSITY Esports. The event hosted the finals of UNIVERSITY Esports GAMERGY Qualifierswith the participation of students from 8 universities from all over the country. The winners of the five games of the competition shared a prize total of 10.000€.

GAMERGY closes 2023 with three editions throughout this year, after the events in Argentina, Mexico y Spainwhich totaled more than 210,000 attendees. For 2024a first date has already been confirmed in Miami (March 21 to 24), which will be the first experience of the event in North America.
