Looks like the chain of special edition phones for 2022 isn’t over. Recently, ASUS announced the ROG Phone 6 in the Diablo Immortal edition, and now Samsung is announcing the new Galaxy Z Fold4 in a “gaming” edition, the second one this year. The South Korean manufacturer has chosen Genshin Impact, one of the most popular mobile video games (and more), for its next partnership, with the announcement made at the G-Star 2022 Global Game Exhibition.
Samsung to offer a Galaxy Z Fold4 in South Korea decorated with images from the game Genshin Impact
The phone will be delivered in a special box dedicated to the Ganyu staff from Genshin Impact. The package is called Galaxy Z Fold4 Genshin Impact Edition and includes multiple accessories decorated with the character, and all the colors are inspired by her costume, with shades of blue and purple.
Included in the package are Galaxy Z Fold4 themed covers, a wireless charger decorated with images from the game, Ganyu character belts, a figurine you can hang on your phone with the character, a set of stickers, a postcard, wristbands, and a Genshin Impact pop-socket set. Also, a pair of Galaxy Buds2 Pro headphones with a special case and strap will also be available separately.
As expected for these special editions, the Genshin Impact edition of the Galaxy Z Fold4 might not make it to Europe. This bundle has only been officially announced for the South Korean market and is likely to remain exclusive to it, as was the case with the Diablo Immortal special edition of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
There might be a possibility that this bundle will make it to China, but the Fold4 is not being released in that region under that name, but as the W23 with a slightly different casing. That’s because the Genshin Impact is made by Shanghai-based studio miHoYo.
