Koei Tecmo has announced its financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023, and confirmed that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and WILD HEARTS had a “successful” launch (translations via MauroNL on Twitter). No sales figures were given for either title.
Other notable releases during that period include Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End and The Secret Key. Despite launching on the same day as Resident Evil 4 Remake, Atelier Ryza 3 sold more than 290,000 copies worldwide. Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, a re-release of the horror title for Nintendo Wii, launched earlier that month and sold 120,000 copies.
The publisher reported revenue of $584.3 million, up 7.8 percent year on year. However, net profit fell 12.5 percent in the same period to $230.5 million. For fiscal 2023, the company expects sales of $710 million and shipments of 10.4 million units, perhaps with the launch of Rise of the Ronin next year for PS5. The company expects to sell five million copies of it, although no release date has been confirmed yet.
