Today, 2K announced the brand new badge system coming to NBA 2K24 on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, allowing players to focus on their strengths and experiment with different builds to achieve success with their MyPLAYER.
NBA 2K24 brings new elements to the badge system for the New Gen version that helps players perfect their skills and dominate the positions they love. Whether it is being a scoring slasher with skills, a physical ball handler, a playmaker via passing or becoming the best defender in the league, there is something new for everyone to take their game to new heights.
Below are more details about the brand new badge system coming to NBA 2K24 on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S:
- More balanced badges. NBA 2K24 adds 24 new skill badges to the court, increasing the total number of badges to 77 in MyTEAM and MyCAREER, with improved flexibility and balance in the game. This year there are new badges for Scoring, Ball Management/Passing and Defense to help players further develop their strengths and create a MyPLAYER all their own.
- New MyPLAYER Builder experience. The MyPLAYER builder experience has received significant upgrades. NBA 2K24 introduces customizable NBA Player Templates along with a new attribute builder page, additional badge tier rankings, improvements to archetypes that help prevent meta-builds, and more.
- Badge-level progression. A brand new badge progression system that gives a more authentic feel to a player’s MyPLAYER build. Players no longer have to choose which badges to equip to their MyPLAYER, and they are no longer tied to the badge points and attribute categories they were previously tied to. Badges are earned through badge usage, meaning that the more a player uses a badge in the game, the more they progress to the next level for which they are eligible.
