Electronic Arts Inc. and Full Circle today released the first details of season 1 of Skate. revealed. Among other things, players can expect brand new events, additional cosmetic items and quality-of-life updates that make the world of San Vansterdam even richer.
The new skateboarding game uses seasons to incrementally expand San Vansterdam with new skateable areas, challenges, tasks, events, brand partners, cosmetic items and other improvements. Each season will have its own theme, and Season 1: Hesh & Fresh kicks off with a nod to the 1990s.

- New events:
- Skate-o-Ween (Oct. 21 – Nov. 11): A lighthearted Halloween celebration that’s all about laughter, creative costumes and skating in an eye-catching outfit. The city gets a spooky makeover with decorations scattered throughout San Vansterdam.
- 7-Play Maple Harvest (Nov. 18 – Dec. 2): An annual festival honoring San Vansterdam’s iconic maple trees. In the 1970s, skaters discovered that the wood from these trees produced nearly unbreakable decks. This community event is all about tradition, growth and connection through skate culture.
- 24 new challenges and tasks: Each season contains 24 new challenges that rotate weekly. In addition, players can complete new daily, weekly, seasonal and event tasks to earn Tix and unlock exclusive rewards.
- New brand partners and soundtrack: NHS adds brands such as Santa Cruz, Creature and Independent to the in-game store. In addition, the season 1 soundtrack features 50 new songs with a ’90s vibe, including tracks by Bad Religion, Dinosaur Jr., Ice Cube and more. The full playlist will be released soon.
- Lighting Update and skate.Pass: Along with the start of season 1, the new Lighting update also launches, as well as the first skate.Pass with additional rewards. You can read more about this in The Grind Vol. 6.
