Diablo 4 will run at 4K/60 FPS for the Xbox Series X, 1080p/60 FPS on the Xbox Series S – That’s Gaming

In recent days, Redfall has caused a stir for not running at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X/S at launch, but fortunately that won’t be the norm for all major upcoming releases. Indeed, one of the biggest in particular – Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo 4 – has been confirmed to run at 60 FPS on Microsoft’s current-gen machines.

Blizzard Entertainment’s Rod Fergusson, who is Diablo’s general manager, recently confirmed on Major Nelson’s Xbox podcast (via Pure Xbox) that Diablo 4 will run on Xbox Series X at 4K and 60 FPS and on Xbox Series S at 1080p and 60 FPS. Whether we can also expect additional graphics modes for different resolution and performance options remains to be seen.

This probably means that the game will also run on PS5 at 4K and 60 FPS, but that has not been officially confirmed, while there is no word yet on how the game will run on last-gen consoles.

Diablo 4 will be released on June 6 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Blizzard will release new details about the endgame content and progression systems on April 20, so stay tuned.
