Decentralized chess game Anichess raises $1.5 million

Anichessa subsidiary of Asian conglomerate Web3 Animoca Brandshas just collected 1.5 million dollars to accelerate the development of its decentralized chess set.

This Thursday, Anichess announced a tour de table from 1.5 million dollars backed by several crypto investment funds including GameFi Ventures, Coin Operated Group and Asymmetry Capital.

Launched in 2007, Chess.com boasts the largest online chess community with over 100 million registered players.

The newly-raised funds will be put to good use by Anichess to recruit developers and expand its entertainment community.
