Coca-Cola’s newest drink is inspired by League of Legends

Coca-Cola is teaming up with Riot Games to create a new drink based on League of Legends. Drinks for gamers are nothing new, and from G-Fuel to Mountain Dew, we’ve seen plenty of marketing aimed at video game players from sugary, carbonated beverage brands.

Now Coca-Cola has joined the fray with its Ultimate Zero Sugar + XP Flavoured drink, now available in the U.S., Canda, China, South Korea, Latin America and Africa.

A statement from Coke (thanks, VGC), tells us that the drink is “will give fans and players a taste of experience points and celebrate each player’s journey – whether it’s their first time on the Rift or on the finals stage at Worlds in pursuit of the Summoner’s Cup.”

League of Legends is also getting a new set of emotes that can be earned by completing special missions. These can be earned worldwide, even if you can’t buy the potion. Read more here.
