Celebrate 12 years of Old School RuneScape and take on the Royal Titans – That’s Gaming

Players of Old School RuneScape can get ready for a colossal battle between fire and ice, as from today Royal Titans are available to members of the game. In this Dual Boss encounter, players take on two legendary giants, each with their own elemental powers.

The Fire Giants, led by Brandr, the Fire Queen, seek to expand their territory and advance into the Asgarnian Ice Cave. The Ice Giants do not let this happen easily and enlist the help of Eldric, the King of the Frost. This leads to an epic clash between the elements, where players find themselves in the middle of the battle and must constantly switch their equipment to exploit the weaknesses of both titans.

The Royal Titans can be challenged solo or as a duo, and defeating these bosses yields unique rewards. Players can obtain the Twinflame Staff, a powerful new weapon, and the Giantsoul Amulet, an unwieldy teleport that allows you to travel directly to Obor, Bryophyta or the Royal Titans. Additionally, Prayer Scrolls, Desiccated Pages and a Fire & Ice Giant cap can be earned. For Slayer enthusiasts, this update also introduces an alternate Slayer task, which allows you to earn Slayer XP by defeating Fire or Ice Giants.

In addition to this brand new boss-fight, there is even more reason to enter the world of Old School RuneScape dive in, as the game celebrates its 12th anniversary on Feb. 19! Jagex is celebrating with a special birthday stream, new cosmetic rewards and in-game decorations. Additionally, players can participate in the “12 Years of Memories” Discord campaign, a birthday cake contest and have the chance to win prizes such as the RuneScape Kingdoms board game, RuneScape: The Official Cookbook and 12 months of membership.
