Publisher and developer Young Horses has announced that it is bringing Bugsnax to iOS. Scheduled for launch this summer, the iOS release of Bugsnax will feature new controls designed for touchscreen and support for a range of third-party gamepads. According to Gematsu, the studio stated that it will reveal more details about Bugsnax’s iOS release closer to launch.
Originally released on PS4, PS5 and PC, Bugsnax was eventually ported to the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch last year. The game has players exploring a mysterious island inhabited by half-insect, half-snack creatures. Characters can eat these creatures to replace parts of their bodies.
Bugsnax also received an expansion called The Isle of BIGsnax, which was released in 2022. The expansion was released as a free update to the base game and will likely come with the iOS release at launch. The Isle of BIGsnax includes “super-sized Bugsnax,” along with new challenges and decorations.
Bugsnax is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
