Brazilian man has turned his hobby of breeding giant roosters into a business -.

Farmer Rubens Braz originally started raising Brazilian chickens as a hobby. He didn’t dream of making it big, or his birds big, for that matter. And yet now he manages to support himself from raising these super-sized roosters.

His giant Indian roosters can grow up to 47 inches long, the size of a TV, and can be sold for about $4,000 each. Braz has no plans for an empire here, as he has about 300 birds in his business. This is too few to sell them for their meat.

But for collectors and farmers, this is a valuable purchase. The bird flu that has affected birds worldwide has impacted Braz’s operations, but his smaller scale has allowed him to keep his head above water.
