Bitfinex invests in Chilean crypto exchange OrionX

Bitfinex sets course for the Chile with a investment in the cryptocurrency exchange platform OrionX. The conglomerate company iFinex wants today expand sa presence at Latin America.

The pioneer of crypto trading Bitfinex has announced a investmentthe amount of which was not disclosed, in OrionXanother exchange founded in 2017 at Chile.

We’re delighted to be working with Orionx as we look to expand our presence in Chile and throughout Latin America,” proclaimed Paolo Ardoino, CTO at Bitfinex.

The deal comes as Orionx is also currently looking to expand its presence on the South American continent with the opening of its services to the Peruin Colombia and in Mexico.

This alliance will enable Bitfinex, a platform owned by iFinex – the British Virgin Islands-based group that also owns stablecoin Tether – to “indirectly reach millions of users”, according to a statement.

Orionx’s co-founder also welcomed the move. collaborationWe believe that the arrival of a shareholder like Bitfinex will make it easier to attract other investors. “We are convinced that their vast experience and proven product portfolio will accelerate our own development and the expansion of our user base, positioning us as the benchmark in the region,” added Joel Vainstein.

Bitfinex plans to make further investments in South America and other emerging markets.
