Assassin’s Creed Mirage will have photo modes at launch – That’s Gaming

Photo modes have become increasingly popular among the gaming public in recent years, and while it’s not exactly a standard feature you expect in every game, it’s becoming more and more common. The Assassin’s Creed franchise in particular has delivered great photo modes with its recent installments, and while Assassin’s Creed Mirage will differentiate itself in significant ways from some of its more recent predecessors, this is a tradition that it does not want to break.

During a recent AMA session on Reddit, Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s artistic director Jean-Luc Sala confirmed that the game will indeed have a photo mode at launch. According to Sala, players will have “many opportunities” to take pictures in and around Baghdad, thanks to the visual offerings of the setting. In addition, players will also have the opportunity to “try to take pictures of the now-extinct Arab ostriches.”

Sala also confirmed that Mirage’s photo mode will use the same feature set as the photo mode in 2020’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, adding that players will also be able to capture images with the visual filter from Assassin’s Creed 1.

As for additional features beyond the core gameplay experience, Ubisoft also recently revealed and explained Mirage’s History of Baghdad feature, which revolves around a codex similar to the early parts of the series.

Meanwhile, it has also been confirmed that there are currently no plans for DLC or extended post-launch support for Mirage.
