The latest update to the Google Play System component introduces a new type of notification for users experiencing frequent crashes in Android apps.
First added to Samsung phones, the new functionality comes to the aid of users who forget to update their Android apps. So along with the suggestion to send a detailed report to the developer of the app in question, the user will also receive a suggestion to immediately install the latest version available on the Google Play Store.
Of course, the suggestion will only be useful if the app has not already been updated. Especially in the case of apps that crash frequently, the source of the inconvenience is the developer’s lack of interest, as frequent visits to the app’s page in search of updates are often fruitless. On the other hand, if you are using an already updated app and it crashes, then it could be a problem with the current version of the app, as the suggestion received for an immediate update is unlikely to bring the desired result.
The new Android functionality will be available starting with version v33.2 of the Play Store app, and is included with the November 2022 update to the Google Play System component. The update package also includes other new features such as parental control settings and other Google Wallet improvements.
