BAFTA seemed to really up its sustainability game at this year’s Film Awards event, as the grand ceremony last night served a host of quirky meals to the 2,000 guests. One of the most unusual food options, however, was the edible popcorn bucket served for dessert, with a white, orange and gold tub filled with strawberry mousse and salted caramel popcorn, and which would melt if your hands were warm enough. Needless to say, it seems quite a sticky option for those who want to eat without cutlery.
Otherwise, according to The Guardian, the awards ceremony also offered a host of other sustainable and vegan meals, including vegan caviar (made from seaweed) that came in a tin designed to be ideal for reuse as a pillbox.
This year’s BAFTAs were a fairly regular affair, even if some might argue that Demi Moore of The Substance and A Complete Unknown going home empty-handed was a snub.
