A real Wild Robot was at the BAFTAs – The Wild Robot

The BAFTAs were last night, and while they may not attract as many eyes as the Oscars, for us Brits they are a ceremony of great prestige. Prior to the awards ceremony, attendees saw a life-size Roz of The Wild Robot.

Nodding, with her eyes lighting up, Roz looks pretty lifelike at the event. Well, as lifelike as a robot can look. Even with her present in person last night, Roz did not pick up the win for best animated film, as that prize went instead to Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl.

Oh well, there are always the Oscars, where we hope to see Roz again. She’ll be back on our screens soon enough in The Wild Robot sequel, which DreamWorks is currently working on.
