League of Legends (LoL) has introduced Nova Seriesa French esports competition for women and other marginalized genders. With prize money of €10,000, the inaugural edition of the circuit, Nova Series: Prélude, will be held from November 8 to December 6.
We have always been here. In the Rift. In every game. In every fight. Sometimes quietly… but always determined. We have suffered defeats. We have become hungry for victory. Carrying our teams. Shining in the shadows. Today is the time to write our own history. A new era begins and it belongs to us.

The launch of the Nova Series comes in the midst of the League of Legends Game Changers (LGC) season, a dedicated LoL competitive ecosystem for women similar to VALORANT’s successful Game Changers project. Its first season, LGC 2025 Rising, is set to conclude on October 31 with the grand finale between Eterna and G2 HEL.
Nova Series format and schedule
The Nova Series: Prélude will start with two qualifiers, which will take place from November 8-9 and November 15-16, respectively. In each qualifier, 32 European teams will fight for a place in the main event. Participants will first have to overcome a seven-round Swiss phase, with best-of-one (BO1) matches. The top four teams from the Swiss phase will qualify for the playoffs, which offer two places in the main event per qualifier. All playoff matches will be best-of-three (BO3).
The main event will begin on November 23, with the four teams qualifying in a direct elimination bracket. The semifinals will again be best-of-three (BO3) to determine the two finalists. On December 6, the Nova Series will crown its first champion in a best-of-five (BO5) LAN grand final in Paris. Interested teams can find more details on the website official tournament website.
