After a long search, I finally found the best deck boxes for me – I’ll tell you how you can get them for the cheapest!
Deck boxes are a dime a dozen, but finding the right ones that really suit you and your decks can be difficult. I’ve been browsing the internet for hours, I’m looking for new, uniform deck boxes that really fit all of my decks and the associated storage box in which the individual boxes can be stored together. The results of this search really surprised me in a positive way.

The perfect deck box for my double sleeved 100 decks
So far I have used relatively large boxes for each of my Magic: The Gathering decks a lavish sideboard and a drawer for cubes had space. Actually quite practical, but over time the number of decks I have has inevitably increased and the bulky boxes only fit so many in one bag.

Even 100 double sleeved cards with Dragon Shield Sealable Sleeves fit perfectly into the Sidekick 100+ XL.
All my decks are stuck in two different cases that protect them from external influences should. I use these for the outer covers of my decks Dual Matte Sleeves von Dragon Shield. I use these everywhere for the inner covers Dragon Shield Sealable Sleeveswhich can be closed with a thin, transparent tab.

While looking for new deck boxes, I came across the Sidewinder from Ultimate Guard. I have both that Sidewinder 100+ as well as that Sidewinder 133+ tried it out and noticed that none of my decks fit properly in it. The 100 is too small and the 133 is too big. Reason for this is the wafer-thin tab of my Dragon Shield Inner Sleeves. They don’t pose a problem on their own, but on 100 cards they make a noticeable difference.

One of the deck boxes currently has to serve as a token box. Of course, the removable, magnetic lid doesn’t get in the way while playing.
A few weeks ago I finally got it Sidekick 100+ XL von Gamegenic discovered. These are slightly larger than the regular Sidekick 100+ and explicitly promise compatibility with very thick decks and sleeves. That seemed to me already almost too good to be truewhich is why I initially only ordered a black Sidekick 100+ XL. And lo and behold: all of my decks fit perfectly into the deck box despite the thicker than average inner sleeves!

Deck box, all well and good – but how do I transport all these decks?
Of course, Gamegenic also has a large storage box where the deck boxes fit. This is titled “Dungeon 1100+” and is designed for the regular 100 deck boxes from Gamegenic. However, there is only room for 8 of the slightly larger ones instead of 10, which also leave quite a bit of space so that they can move around during transport.

The 8 extra-large deck boxes from Gamegenic fit into the Ultimate Guard Omnihive like a glove.
Ultimate Guard, whose Sidewinder unfortunately didn’t help me at all, of course also has such a storage box in its range. The “Omnihive 1000+” is intended for two dice trays and the in-house Xenoskin deck boxes. In fact, the Omnihive is also perfect as a storage box for the Gamegenic Sidekick 100+ XL! In my opinion, these fit in even better than Ultimate Guard’s own products.
If I had the Gamegenic deck boxes and the Omnihive in my euphoria If I didn’t order it from Amazon, but rather from Games Island, I would have saved myself around €30. It proves once again that Games Island simply has the better prices.
