Faker renews with T1 until 2029

T1 Player, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeokhas extended his contract with the organization until 2029.making him one of the longest-serving esports players of all time. The “Unkillable Demon King” will continue to play under the banner of the Korean organization. at least until the age of 33This was announced in the X network.

The announcement video highlights his incredible accomplishments throughout his 11 years at T1, the only team he has played for his entire career.

With Faker having become a symbol of eSports beyond League of Legends, T1 is ready to write another legendary chapter with him.

Faker is by far one of the most successful eSports players in history. He has already lifted the League of Legends Worlds trophy five times, including back-to-back victories in 2023 and 2024. In various events, he has won a total of 26 championship titles since his debut in 2013.

He was also the first player to be inducted into the League of Legends Hall of Fame and has seven skins dedicated to him in the game. The player recently added another milestone to his legacy by surpassing 1,000 kills in international tournaments during the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational.
