Razer unveils BlackWidow V4 Low profile line – That’s Gaming

Razer, the leading lifestyle brand for gamers, today unveiled the Razer BlackWidow V4 Low-profile HyperSpeed and the Razer BlackWidow V4 Low-profile Tenkeyless HyperSpeed. These are the brand’s most advanced keyboards to date. These new additions to the award-winning BlackWidow line bring performance and ergonomics to a thinner, streamlined model.

Designed for strong gameplay and precise controls, both models feature Razer HyperSpeed Wireless technology, dedicated macro buttons and controls. Also, for the first time ever, the keyboards have Razer Low-profile Mechanical Switches. This combination of features results in a fast, precise and streamlined keyboard that fits into any setup.

“The Razer BlackWidow has been at the foundation of many gaming setups for fifteen years. As one of the most recognizable keyboards in the industry, it consistently sets the benchmark for performance and immersion,” said Barrie Ooi, Head of Razer’s PC Gaming Division. “With the BlackWidow V4 Low profile line, we are introducing a new form factor that meets the evolving demands of gamers. Yet we are also keeping to the immersive experiences that make the BlackWidow legacy so recognizable.”

Comfort and durability

Razer’s popular green (clicky), yellow (linear) and orange (tactile) switches are now available in a low-profile format. Thus, they deliver the recognizable, fine feel of the keys in a streamlined and ergonomic design. The reduced key height promotes a natural wrist position, improving comfort during long gaming sessions without the need for a wrist rest. The low 18.5mm front height and angled chassis further support a neutral wrist posture for prolonged comfort.

Each switch is designed with a unique circular voice wall that ensures good light transmission, allowing the Razer Chroma RGB lighting to shine through the translucent upper housing. Factory lubricated and thoroughly tested, the switches offer good stability with minimal backlash for consistent, reliable performance. They are rated for up to 80 million keystrokes and are built to withstand the conditions of competitive gaming. They exceed the industry standard by 1.6 times.

Designed with durability and precision in mind, the keyboards feature a high-quality 5052 aluminum alloy housing, dual sound-absorbing foam layers, pre-lubricated stabilizers and a stainless steel plate. Together, these elements provide a clean, clear typing sound and pleasing key feel.

Speed, connectivity, control

Both models feature a clickable multi-function roller and a full array of dedicated macro buttons and controls, giving gamers quick access to macros, music and battery status with a single tap or scroll – without in-game interruptions. With power saving mode, users can enjoy up to 980 hours of battery life on a single charge, making it ideal for long sessions, whether you’re playing or streaming all night. The built-in Razer Snap Tap adds a tactical advantage by immediately prioritizing the last input between two keys without having to release the first one.

The Razer BlackWidow V4 Low-profile HyperSpeed and Razer BlackWidow V4 Low-profile Tenkeyless HyperSpeed are designed to take any setup to the next level with advanced performance, ergonomic comfort and an ultra-thin shape for a full gaming experience.
