Independent game studio Bippinbits and video game company and creative studio Kepler Interactive announced today that PVKK: Planetenverteidigungskanonenkommandant, the upcoming planetary defense simulation game, will be playable at Gamescom 2025 with a brand new, unique immersive controller setup.

Players attending the convention in Cologne, Germany, can preview PVKK on the show floor at the Indie Arena booth in Hall 10.2, from Aug. 20 to 24. Fans can operate tactile switches, use mechanical dials and dutifully align the trajectory of the giant in-game cannon to destroy invading interplanetary forces. Fans visiting the booth can also collect unique merchandise available exclusively to event attendees and discover other surprises while interacting personally with the developers. PVKK will appear at other international video game events later this year with a playable demo, including the Tokyo Game Show.
Fans interested in learning more about PVKK can follow regular Devlog updates on the game’s Steam page and official social channels, including a brand new community update video voiced by René Habermann, co-founder of Bippinbits.
PVKK launches next year and is published by Kepler Interactive, the video game company and creative studio behind several recent critically acclaimed games, including Bionic Bay, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and REMATCH. In addition to its carefully curated offering of bold, innovative and culturally relevant games, Kepler has also recently collaborated with independent British jewelry maker Hannah Martin for a unique, conceptual digital jewelry collection inspired by Expedition 33, and with fashion designer Robyn Lynch for a capsule collection that takes a bold and playful look at how games and fashion work together.
