Tournament organizer, Hero Esportshas announced the second edition of the Asian Champions League (ACL) for Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). The event will take place in May 2026 and will feature a total prize pool of $150,000.
Open qualifiers for the event will be available to teams based in China, Southeast Asia and Oceania. They will be held between January and March, with 11 teams earning a spot in the closed qualifiers that will take place in China from April 29 to May 3, 2026.
Once the closed qualifiers are concluded and teams are advanced, the top 16 teams in the Valve Asian Regional Rankings (VRS) will receive direct invitations to the LAN event to be held May 11-17.
The first edition of the event took place in May and attracted several teams from across the APAC region. TYLOO secured victory, taking home $100,000 in prize money and a place in the Esports World Cup.
Notably, the first ACL CS2 event boasted a total prize pool of $300,000, double that of next year’s tournament. In addition, the tournament organizer has not revealed whether the winner will qualify for next year’s Esports World Cup.
