Are you ready to come face to face with hundreds of hungry undead? Saber Interactive today released the new Swarm-trailer launched for World War Z VR, a first-person VR game based on Paramount Pictures’ film of the same name and the popular gaming franchise that has already attracted more than 25 million players. In this trailer, you get a taste of the sheer chaos that awaits you once the zombies swarm across your screen (and almost your living room) in VR.
World War Z VR will be released on August 12, 2025 and is available for pre-order now for €19.99 on Meta Quest and SteamVR. The game immerses you in an all-new experience developed specifically for VR. You choose from seven playable characters and try to survive in three gigantic locations taken over by the dead: New York, Tokyo and Marseilles.
With up to 200 zombies on screen at once, you’ll literally be sweating in your headset. Thanks to variable difficulty levels and clever enemies that adapt to your play style, no mission is the same. Special infected zombies also provide extra challenge and adrenaline.
You take on these hordes along with an AI team, armed with an arsenal of weapons and perks that you can customize to your preference. Everything is designed to give you the ultimate zombie survival experience, whether you’re a seasoned VR veteran or taking your first steps into this world.
Those who pre-order the game now on Meta Quest 3, Quest 2, Quest Pro or SteamVR will receive four exclusive weapon skins on the day of release.
