I ordered for 20 euros fans on Temu

Can you save and stay cool in summer?

Can you save and stay cool in summer?

If the planet burns colloquially, we always look for the next cooling. Wind, water, electrical climate: Everything is welcome.

In the course of a test order, I ordered three cooling gadgets to try the Internet shop Temu myself – the test of the fake Apple AirPods, which were also there, you could already read.

I have already published an article of whether Temu is serious. On top of that, I wrote about whether Temu is ethically justifiable.

Maxe Schwind

Maxe has high blood pressure and is not a friend of high temperatures. He is a winter person, after all, it is easier to warm up than cooling down, right?

When the temperatures of the 30-degree mark approach in summer, it almost lives in the dark. Air a lot of ventilation in the morning and then down with the roller shutters. Should the sun be reflected on the monitor of someone else!

Because Maxe does not want to spend his life entirely in a Dark Room, it sometimes needs cooling. So he made a virtue out of necessity: Temu wanted to try out a journalistic curioso anyway, why not order three fans?

I ordered that

Three fans – but not the big stand things, no, but a very cheap hand fan for 2.17 euros, a cheap hand fan for 6.98 euros and still not expensive, portable air conditioning (says Temu, not me!) For 11.59 euros.

I paid 20.74 euros for all three devices.

If you look into the Temu app, you immediately reduce your expectations. Three fans for less than 20 euros, that can’t cool me, right?

Fair, one also has to say: Tower fans you get the piece under 30 euros. There is usually not much on these things. They shouldn’t swirl more than the air.

A week and a half later, Hermes then delivered the ordered cooling for just under 20 euros.

Gadget #1: cat hand fan

To be honest, I bought the cat in a sack. Because this fan works without electrics, which I had overlooked when buying because my partner was immediately in love (you couldn’t resist).

Cost: 2.17 euros. The rotor is driven by pressing the lever, which should be a tail with a lot of imagination.

No, this plastic part does not cool me. On the contrary: by constantly pressing the button, I get warm. Every subject helps more than that.

The only scenario in which the cat fan could be used would be in children’s hands. After all, the purred air purrs when it turns.

Gadget #2: Hand fan with spray function

I’ll let the air out: This part is by far the best of the trio. It lies pleasantly in the hand, doesn’t feel very cheap and does what it should.

Cost: 6.98 euros. Three different speeds can be adjusted via the button on the handle. If you hold it down, cold water sprays from an eyelet below the rotor.

So you fill the hand fan: Through a flap on the back, water is filled in by means of a tulle vial. It is difficult to estimate how long a filling lasts, but felt felt like you had to refuel again very quickly.

The hand fan can be charged via micro USB. A hand loop is also included in the scope of delivery.

In fact, I have nothing to complain about on this air donor. I only found similar devices on Amazon from around 12 euros. Since these have certainly fell from a Chinese band with certainty, this is a snapper.

Gadget #3: Portable air conditioning

For sale this plastic heap as a portable air conditioning system borders fraud. Basically, the device is nothing more than the hand fan in large: it creates cool air over a rotor and sprays water on need – oh, and RGB lighting also has it.

Cost: 11.59 euros. Perfectly clear that I don’t get air conditioning or a high -quality fan for this price, but the part borders on cheek.

The processing is extremely cheap – And so much that you have to be careful not to cut yourself on the edges.

The fan can be connected via USB, but the supplied power-on-USB cable is very short at 50 centimeters-and on the distance I certainly do not connect a water-spraying fan to my computer.

The big end comes now: Electronics and water work together here. One would think that the manufacturer has taken any types of precautions so that you don’t risk a short circuit, right?

No.

Using slight violence, I removed the plastic grille to be able to take this photo.

As you can see in the picture above: The circuit board and the electronics are cash. As soon as water vapor is sprayed in front of the rotor leaf, the moisture gets everywhere. There are nothing to help six ventilation levels, a timer and bright colors.

The product guarantee is also funny. Not that you would bother to make claims, but the guarantee does not protect against faulty human behavior – such as filling water.

This Air conditioning I immediately landed in the trash.

Cheap online shops use psychological tricks to manipulate us to buy such devices. If you want to read more: We have summarized all important information and perfidious patterns in an article.

That really cools me off

So that I get through the summer cool, it doesn’t need electronics at all. Yes, the hand fan is nice, but nothing more.

These microfiber towels, which remain moist for a long time, really gave me cooling.

Get wet and put on your neck. Or over the shoulders. Or around the neck. And if the cloth should get warm: shake vigorously and it is cold again.

The morality of the history: To keep a cool head, sometimes no complicated devices or cheap gadgets are needed – and certainly not a Temu.

I put the rehearsal on the example: Can I get through the summer with little money? Yes, I do, but with a cheap microfiber cloth and no electrically operated fan. What are your tips for a monkey heat? How do you stay cool when 30 degrees and more prevail outside?

We pulled this article on the homepage again for you due to the high temperatures.
