That’s Sir Christopher Nolan for you: director knighted by King Charles III – Oppenheimer

We all know that Christopher Nolan has been an incredibly talented director for years, but it seems that recent times have been even kinder to the director of Interstellar and Inception, as he has been recognized by the Oscars and even the King for his work on Oppenheimer.

Christopher Nolan was knighted this week by King Charles III during a visit to Buckingham Palace, and his wife Emma Thomas also received awards, making her a lady. Thomas first met Nolan when they studied together at University College London. Nolan and Thomas consistently work together, as Thomas acts as producer for his films.

“It was very nice that [de koning] knew our work and was aware of it, and yes, he hoped that I would take this as an encouragement to do more of it,” Said Nolan (via The Independent). Thomas added : “He had seen Oppenheimer, and he liked it, so that was very satisfying to hear.”

Nolan has kept his lips tightly sealed about his next project, but as the cast list progresses, we think we’ll hear more about it soon.
