Electronic Arts Inc. today announced that EA SPORTS™ F1® 24 will introduce new technical enhancements that take image quality, gameplay and player experience to the next level on the PlayStation®5 Pro (PS5® Pro) as of now. With stunning 8K graphics and advanced Ray Tracing, players can get closer than ever to the grid in one of the most realistic F1® experiences to date.
The first EA SPORTS title to run at 8K and 60Hz on console, F1® 24 uses the latest EGO Engine update to take full advantage of the PS5 Pro’s advanced capabilities. The game offers an enhanced Quality mode with Ray Tracing, a rendering technique that provides realistic light simulation, on the track in 4K/60Hz. There is also a Performance mode that doubles the pixel count on the PS5 to 4K/120Hz. This provides better visual clarity and a smoother racing experience at higher frame rates.
“By harnessing the power of the PS5 Pro and pushing the capabilities of our EGO Engine, we have created an unprecedented level of immersion that transforms the F1 experience for our players. These enhancements increase the visual quality and performance of the game and underscore our commitment to delivering a great experience to our players worldwide,” said Si Lumb, Technical Producer at Codemasters.
