Intense battles set the tone in spectacular trailer of FAIRY TAIL 2 – That’s Gaming

At the Tokyo Game Show 2024, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Gust revealed new details about the combat system in FAIRY TAIL 2, the popular franchise’s new action RPG FAIRY TAIL. The epic new trailer shows more about the real-time battles Natsu and his friends will fight against Emperor Spriggan Zeref and his elite team, the Spriggan 12. FAIRY TAIL 2 is a direct sequel to KOEI TECMO’s 2020 game and will be released on December 13, 2024 for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4 and Nintendo Switch™, and on December 12, 2024 for Windows PC via Steam®.

To capture the intensity and excitement of the Alvarez Empire Arc, it includes FAIRY TAIL 2 revamped real-time magical combat with even more spectacular action. In addition to their powerful emblematic attacks, members of the FAIRY TAIL guild can join forces with those of allies to assail their enemies with “Link Attacks” and “Unison Raid.” Speed, precision and synergy are key factors in any strategy that can take on the formidable Spriggan 12 mages.

The new trailer offers fans a glimpse of the new progression system that allows them to manage their characters’ skills to create their own FAIRY TAIL experience. Players looking to add more depth to their FAIRY TAIL experience can also unlock characters’ stories over the course of the main story. Through brand new, original movies and interactions, players will have the chance to discover new facets of their beloved characters.

In addition to this, the “KOEI TECMO LIVE! at TGS 2024” livestream will be released on Sept. 27 (at 12:00 p.m., Japanese only), showing fans more of the game with live gameplay footage and guests Tetsuya Kakihara (CV Natsu) and Sayaka Ohara (CV Erza), and the game’s producer, Hiroshi Kataoka.

Anyone who FAIRY TAIL 2 purchase physically or digitally before Jan. 6, 2025 will receive the “Miss FAIRY TAIL Contest” costume for Lucy as a bonus.

FAIRY TAIL 2 will be released December 13, 2024 for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4 and Nintendo Switch™ and December 12, 2024 for Windows PC via Steam®. FAIRY TAIL 2 contains Japanese voices with English and French lyrics.
