On Thursday, Helius revealed that it had closed a $9.5 million funding round led by Foundation Capital. The fundraising also includes the participation of well-known investors from the crypto space with Reciprocal Ventures, 6th Man Ventures and Chapter One. Solana founders, including Anatoly Yakovenko, also contributed to the round.

We’re simplifying and enhancing the experience of developers of the most powerful blockchain, Solana, by giving them the platform they need to create the best DApps possible,” trumpeted Helius boss Mert Mumtaz.

Solana already offers high performance in terms of transaction processing compared in particular to its main rival Ethereum. “While Solana may be the most scalable, secure and composable Layer 1 blockchain, it has also created friction for some developers,” Helius explains.
