Developer Demagog Studio and publisher Rogue Games have released a new trailer for the upcoming adventure game Highwater. The trailer focuses on the game’s upcoming PC and console release, and you can check it out below. The game was previously scheduled for release in 2023, and before that in 2022.
Highwater revolves around protagonist Nikos, who begins his journey as the world around him becomes increasingly inhospitable to humans, and rumors circulate about the possibility of humanity escaping to Mars. During his journey to Hightower, Nikos will make new friends, fight insurgents and eventually try to sneak into the rocket before it launches.
The game’s combat system is one of its key features, with the developer emphasizing a tactical and puzzle-oriented approach to combat. Players will have the ability to interact with the world around them in combat. For example, players can push shopping carts against enemies, or flip a tree on them.
Highwater is scheduled for release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
