Google delays its ChatGPT competitor –

Google has reportedly delayed its ChatGPT competitor Gemini until next year.

The Information notes that Gemini was originally scheduled to launch in November, but now may not be released until the first quarter of 2024. The outlet suggests that the delay could be due to ChatGPT’s strength as a competitor, as it is the fastest-growing consumer software application in history.

In the report, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said the company is “focused on releasing Gemini 1.0 as soon as possible [om ervoor te zorgen] that it is competitive [en] state-of-the-art”.
