Acctuala start-up offering accounting tools designed for companies working with cryptocurrencieshas just completed a 3.8 million round of financing.
Founded in 2022, New York-based Acctual wishes to simplify the accounting from companies that regularly pay invoices in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
On Wednesday, the startup announced that it had raised 3.8 million in a funding round led by venture capital firms Third Prime and IDEO.
Web3 payments are fundamentally a better way for businesses to transact globally. However, finance managers will be the agents of change, and our aim is to create a product that finance teams can love while leading the way,” said Acctual boss Atikh Bana.
Other investors include Alchemy Ventures, OrangeDAO, Soma Capital and business angels including Ryan Selkis of Messari.
For Acctual’s product director, several solutions “used in conjunction” are needed today to make a simple crypto payment.
“Web3 billing is tedious and overwhelming […] We aim to change that by advocating and listening to users’ needs,” said Mohamedeq Mohamed.
