Phantom Liberty shows new CGI trailer – That’s Gaming

In the latest Night City Wire, CD Projekt RED revealed a new CGI trailer for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. Set seven years before the events of the expansion, it features Solomon Reed (played by Idris Elba), a NUSA agent who leaves Night City. Unfortunately, he is betrayed and left for dead by his apprentice Song So Mi, aka Songbird, for unknown reasons.

Cut to seven years later, where Songbird finds himself on the same space flight as NUSA President Rosalind Myers. After a hit, the flight crashes into Dogtown. The rest is history, as Reed is reactivated and must rescue Myers. What is So Mi’s motivation in all this? Does she have something to do with the space flight crash? Time will tell.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be released on September 26 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
