First VALORANT player to make her debut in a European professional league with Rebels Gaming

Last May 12th, Rebels Gaming announced that Paula “Devilasxa” Blanco would be the first woman to make her debut in the top Spanish VALORANT competition.. This fact is even more important as it is unprecedented in the current model of competitions of this videogame in Europe.

Although the club already has an all-female team, with this decision, the entity chaired by David de Gea shows the promotion and support of egalitarian competition model.

The debut of the player has received great support from the community, followers and fans of both Rebels Gaming and online competitions. In addition, the match ended with a victory for the Madrid-based team, crowning the milestone with a golden brooch.

For some time Paula had been showing a level at the highest level of competition so it was natural; we talked about it with her, she felt ready and eager, so it was all very simple. Beyond the sporting aspect, we want to promote human values, encourage inclusion and contribute to building a more open and diverse sector.

The player confessed in the post-match interview that she had played nervously but focused on supporting the team, doing well in her debut.
