A new version of Hobbiton has come to Bosnia -.

In the hills of central Bosnia, you may stumble upon what looks like a village built by the Hobbits of J.R.R. Tolkien’s imagination. However, you will soon realize that this village was instead created by four sisters.

They hope to attract tourism to the small village of Rakova Noga, which is about a 40-minute drive from the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo. All Hobbit houses have been built in the ground and two are fully completed.

Three others are under construction at the time of writing, and both the houses that exist now and those soon to be completed will be named after local attractions that take the sisters back to their childhood.

Speaking about the project, eldest sister Milijana Milicevic said: “We often held family meetings on this hill and discussed what would be the best way to use this view for tourism purposes.”

Going on a trip to Bosnia’s own Hobbiton?
