Box Office, ConsenSys and Polygon launch NFT super tickets

Sports Illustrated has partnered with Polygon and ConsenSys to launch a new blockchain service in event-driven: Box Office. The ambition: to provide augmented tickets or Super Tickets for the organizers and the buyers.

The ticketingIs ticketing the next big market segment for crypto technologies? Several players have already positioned themselves in this niche. For example, ticketing giant Ticketmaster partnered with Dapper Labs last fall.

The goal: to allow event organizers to issue NFT On the Flow blockchain. Sports Illustratedmagazine, but also owner of SI Ticketshas made the choice of Ethereum and Polygon.

NFT bills complementary to classic tickets

Fan ticketing site announces the launch of Box Office. The product is presented as a self-service event management and ticketing solution in the primary (1st issue, to be distinguished from secondary).

Box Office therefore offers organizers to issue ‘Super Tickets‘, NFTs associated with specific rights. However, the aim is not to replace the classic tickets, but to complement them.

The creators of the blockchain service claim “a complete solution of NFT ticketing “suitable for events of all sizes and offering “adjacency to traditional, non-NFT tickets” for sports, concerts and theater.

More opportunities for organizers

Super Ticket thus presents itself as an NFT ticketing solution aimed at providing additional services to buyers, such as collectibles, exclusive offers or other benefits.

“The solution unlocks engagement opportunities between organizers and attendees before, during and after events,” SI Tickets and ConsenSys note in a press release. The ticket marketplace intends to shake up the primary market.

NFT ticketing, a massive democratization lever?

The company issues 50 million tickets for 250,000 events, sports, but also concerts and shows. Thanks to this contract, ConsenSysthe Ethereum studio led by Joseph Lubin, aims to support the development of NFTs in ticketing.
