MetaMask opens up the purchase of cryptocurrencies via Portfolio Dapp

The famous Ethereum wallet MetaMask now allows all its users tobuy a hundred of cryptocurrencies via Dapp Portfolio.

MetaMask has announced the release of the “ Buy Crypto “on its application named Portfolio Dapp.

Over 90 cryptocurrencies available

Users of the ETH wallet from 189 countries now have the possibility to buy crypto-currencies via several payment methods including PayPal, credit card and wire transfer, according to the ad.

Simply access the Buy tab in the app, connect your MetaMask wallet and get the crypto of your choice!” trumpeted Metamask, in a blog post.

Nearly a hundred digital assets based on 8 blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum and Avalanche, are offered to thebuy.

Metamask says it has formed alliances with several fintechs, including. PayPalMoonPay, Sardine or Mercuryo, to offer this service.

“ In the spirit of making Web3 accessible to all, we are excited to bring this functionality to the dapp for our global community,” added Metamask.

A feature in development since 2022

Last year, the publisher of the ConsenSys announced a partnership with PayPal to allow US users of Metamask to buy ethers.

Last month, MetaMask and MoonPay expanded their offer to the Nigeriaallowing users to purchase tokens via instant bank transfer.

More recently, MetaMask’s institutional arm has opened a marketplace dedicated to staking and the wallet has added an option called ‘Sign In with Ethereum’.
