Italian developer Kunos Simulazioni has built up a considerable fan base for its racing sim franchise Assetto Corsa over the years, even though the series has never reached the heights of genre toppers like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport, so there is a lot of excitement around what the future holds for the game.
It was confirmed in 2021 that the developer was working on Assetto Corsa 2, with a launch scheduled sometime in 2024, and now a more accurate launch window has been announced. Digital Bros, the parent company of Assetto Corsa publisher 505 Games, has confirmed in its latest financial report (via @MauroNL3 on Twitter) that Assetto Corsa 2 will launch sometime in the spring of 2024. When it will be announced or what platforms it will come out for remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, it has also been announced that the Assetto Corsa series collectively sold more than 28 million units worldwide as of December 31 last year, accounting for more than €104 million in revenue.
It was previously confirmed that an Assetto Corsa game is also in development for mobile devices, but there are no updates yet on how production is proceeding or when the game will launch.
