Expected first in the Chinese market, the OnePlus Nord 3 looks set to launch equipped with the Dimensity 8200 chipset, coupled with a 6.74-inch display.
According to information so far, the Dimensity 8200 is an SD 888 alternative that at times equals the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, previous-generation solutions that still resonate with flagship-killer phone enthusiasts. According to performance metrics obtained with the Geekbench 5 benchmark, the Dimensity 8200 scores 1100 points in the single-core test and nearly 4100 points in the multi-core test, at least outperforming the range of Snapdragon 865-equipped phones.
Returning to the Nord 3, the top-of-the-line OnePlus is expected in with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The 6.74-inch diagonal screen will be AMOLED, with 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K+ (1080 x 2412 pixels) resolution.
The camera configuration will be a triple-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor (Sony IMX766), coupled to an f/1.8 aperture lens group. The selection could be completed with an ultra-wide 8MP camera and 2MP auxiliary sensor, possibly monochrome, used to assist depth effects in portrait shots.
With a focus on preserving longevity and facilitating fast 100W charging, the battery will offer a limited capacity of 4500mAh (5000mAh actual capacity).
The list of features is completed with a fingerprint sensor installed under the screen and haptic motor with X-axis technology, similar to solutions already found on other phones in the high-end range.
