Apple launches iPhone 14 with A15 processor. iPhone 14 Pro comes without the notch

Apple has officially launched the iPhone 14 smartphone series, which includes a Plus variant with a 6.7″ diagonal screen and the same processor as last year’s A15. The standard iPhone 14 has a 6.1″ diagonal display.

The phones come with more advanced cooling, still have the notch and a ceramic coating that protects them from scratches.

Apple iPhone 14 will be available in five colors. Like the Apple Watch Series 8, the phones have a crash detection system. Crash Detection can identify four different types of crashes: rollover, side impact, front impact and rear impact.

On the back we have a dual-camera system that includes a 12 MP main sensor and a new ultrawide sensor. Apple claims that images taken in low-light conditions have been improved by 49% on the iPhone 14. What’s more, Night Mode is twice as fast.

Prices on the standard model start at $799. The Plus starts at $899. The devices arrive in stores mid this month.

iPhone 14 Pro ditches the notch and comes with always-on display

Apple has also announced the new iPhone 14 Pro (6.1″ display) and iPhone 14 Pro Max (6.7″ display) smartphones, which no longer include the controversial notch, the feature introduced with the iPhone X in 2017. On the iPhone 14 Pro, the front-facing camera and Face ID system are housed in an area called Dynamic Island, which can display notifications and other information from apps.

The Pro Series phones come with Apple’s new six-core A16 processor, which is faster and 20% more power efficient than the A15.

Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro includes, for the first time on a smartphone produced by the company, the always-on display, which displays information on the phone’s off screen.

The three-camera system on the back now includes a 48MP primary sensor and a new ultrawide sensor. The third sensor is a telephoto sensor.

The front camera also features autofocus for the first time on an iPhone.

On the iPhone 14 Pro, prices start at $999, and the Pro Max starts at $1,099. The phones will arrive in stores on September 13.
