Academician Constantin Bălăceanu-Stolnici is Adrian Artene’s guest on the ALTCEVA podcast that will be broadcast on Saturday, August 13, starting at 7:00 pm.
Constantin Bălăceanu-Stolnici, aged 99, was born in Bucharest on July 6, 1923. He is a neurologist, professor of Neuropsychology and Anatomy of the Nervous System, honorary member of the Romanian Academy, member of the Romanian Academy of Scientists and of the Romanian Academy of Medical Sciences. He is also Honorary Director of the Institute of Anthropology “Fr. I. Rainer Institute of Anthropology of the Romanian Academy and Honorary President of the Academic Society of Anthropology. A descendant of the Bălăcenilors, an old noble family, Bălăceanu-Stolnici attended the “I.C. Brătianu” High School in Pitesti, where he passed the baccalaureate in 1941. Between 1941 and 1947 he attended the Faculty of Medicine in Bucharest, graduating in 1948 with the title of Doctor of Medicine and Surgery. In 1967 he was confirmed Doctor of Medical Sciences by the IMF-Bucuresti and the Ministry of Education.
