Lidl will sell a battery-operated electric saw under its Parkside brand from next Monday. The company has offered similar devices in the past, but those were corded powered.
The electric device, model PKSA 20-Li B2, has an automatic chain lubrication system. Oil is put into the dedicated reservoir on top of the tool.
The chain speed is 6.5 m/s and the blade, Oregon brand, can cut wood up to 23 cm in diameter.

The device runs on a recommended 20 V, 4 Ah battery. This is not included in the package and must be purchased separately. Lidl will sell a 4 Ah battery for 179 lei.

A pack including battery and charger will cost 149 lei. The battery in this set, however, has a smaller capacity (2 Ah).
The electric saw, produced for Lidl by German company HKM Akkutechnik, weighs 4.5 kg and will cost 349 lei. Included in the box is a bottle containing 180 ml of chain oil.
From videos posted on YouTube we see that the device handles quite well and can be used for cutting branches, construction wood or logs. The product is also available on Amazon, where it has a rating of 4.6 stars out of 5, received from 15 users.
