Follow @RoyalsBlue_com In a move that many of us did not see coming the Kansas City Royals have traded for OF Jonny Gomes from the Atlanta Braves.  In return the Braves will get the Royals Single-A shortstop Luis Venezuela. This is an interesting move as it will put the Royals into a bit of a numbers crunch come playoff time.  The Royals will have 6 outfielders on the roster when Alex Gordon and Terrance Gore are activated tomorrow...

Zobrist Continues to Reward Royals Fans

Follow @RoyalsBlue_com   When the Royals acquired Ben Zobrist back on July 28, I was beside myself with excitement.   There was not a more perfect fit available for what this Royals team needed than in what Zobrist can bring to the lineup and in the field with his versatility. What do the Kansas City Royals Really Have in Mike Moustakas?

Follow @RoyalsBlue_com I originally wrote the bulk of this article on August 14, 2015. Moose was mired in an awful, awful slump. Since that time, he has gone .317 / .488 / .732 over 41 AB with 4 HR, 5 doubles, 11 RBI, 7 BB, and only 3 K. As a result, which often happens when researching for a piece for Royals Blue (numbers sure do have a way of messing up irrational opinions), my tone shifted. It is no longer “What’s wrong with...

No Need for Royals Fans to Worry About Cueto

Follow @RoyalsBlue_com   When the Kansas City Royals traded well known prospects Brandon Finnegan and John Lamb to the Cincinnati Reds for Johnny Cueto, it was expected that Cueto would immediately fall into place and dominate. He had posted a 2.62 ERA this season in 19 games with the Reds after posting sub 3.00 ERA’s every year since 2010. He was the ace the Royals were looking for after Yordano Ventura stumbled in that...
