KC Dominates the All-Star Game

The Final player has been announced for the American League All-Star Game, and the Voting Machine that is the Kansas City Royals Fan base has done it again.  Mike Moustakas has been voted into the 2015 Mid Summer Classic.  Moose beats out Brian Dozier, Yoenis Cespedes, and Xander Bogaerts  to take the final spot.  Brett Gardner who was also in the running was placed on the team by Manager Ned Yost to replace Alex Gordon earlier this week.

Moustakas will join teammates Alcides Escobar, Lorenzo Cain, Salvador Perez, Wade Davis, Kelvin Herrera, and the injured Alex Gordon as representatives of the Royals in Cinncinati in next weeks All-Star Festivities.  They will be managed by…you guest it, all the Royals Coaching staff, as well as, A.J. Hinch, and Lloyd McClendon.

In truly odd news, The Royals fans also helped push St. Louis Cardinals starter Carlos Martinez into the game over Johnny Cueto of the hometown Reds.  I still don't understand how this "Alliance" came about, but the Royals are playing very nice saying it was a mutual thing.  We all know that Moose getting in had NOTHING to do with St. Louis, but why did they agree to this.  I feel kind of dirty having to type this, and I really am not thrilled about this.  Would a Mizzou/KU alliance ever happen?  A Chiefs/Raiders? A USMNT/Mexico? HELL NO.  So why the hell did this happen. Martinez must have agreed to a Verlander like inning if he gets in or something.  But what is done, is done and we must move on.

So nice job Royals Fans, keep it up!!!  GO A.L. because I want to see game 7 at Kauffman again!!!!

  2. I'm a Royals/Cards/Mizzou/MO-State fan living in Kansas City.  I love all teams Missouri and am delighted that our #1 AL and NL teams are joining forces to dominate the rest of the league
